Megalithic art studies by J. McMann
Position
The book of McMann [1993] provides some
information where megalithic art can be found in the monuments of
Loughcrew.
Also provides some renderings of stones at Loughcrew from Twohig [1981].
The position of most of the art is though missing in the drawings,
one needs Brennan [1983] to find the
stones
with art.
Directions
..., none of the tombs at Loughcrew is directed
precisely
towards an important solar event such as solstice or equinox, even if
we
take into account the slight different position of the sun in neolithic
and modern times. McMann [1993, page 43]
