Two sunrises have been witnessed.
A short description of these days:
- March 8th, 1999
The official sunrise is around 07:04 GMT
Sunrise at 7:06 GMT
As can be seen on the picture there were clouds in the sky, but
there
were two sunny periods of a few minutes. The second period can be seen
in a
video.
- March 25th, 1999
The official sunrise is around 06:23 GMT
There were again two periods (due to clouds) that the sun came in the
chamber of Cairn T.
This pictures of the back wall of the central recess gives the sunlight
in the first period of a very watery sun:
Sunlight at 6:55 GMT
The second period was much better and can be seen in a
video (between 7:20 and 7:29 GMT).
A picture of the horizon around 7:31 GMT including the sun in the
second
period, can be seen below (the first period also can be seen vaguely):
Sun at around 7:32 GMT
