Version 1.9
The Excel file has the following calculations:
Changes after version 0.0
-
block A1:G2 (can't be changed)
This holds the conversion between days after or before winter solstice
sunset (row 1) and the change of azimuth of the sunset in degrees (row
2)
-
cell A8 (changable)
The number of days before or after winter solstice sunset (maximum
32 days).
-
cell A9 (can't be changed)
the change of azimuth of the sun due to A8 (calculated with table A1:G2)
-
cell A10 (changable)
The number of minutes before sunset (maximum 60 minutes)
-
cell A11 (can't be changed)
the change in azimuth of the sun due to A10 (change= -A10 * 0.2149)
-
cell A12 (can't be changed)
the change in altitude of the sun due to A10 (change= A10 * 0.0695)
-
cell L8 (can be changed)
The azimuth of winter solstice sunset in degrees
-
cell L10 (can be changed)
The azimuth of the x-reference grid in degrees
-
block L12:V12 (can't be changed)
This is the location of the center recess (CR)
-
block C13:W13 (can't be changed)
This is the horizontal location in centimeters on the back wall (in
20 steps from B29 to B28)
-
block A15:A25 (can't be changed)
This is the height (so vertical) in centimeters from the ground level
of the back wall), in 10 steps from B33 to B32.
-
block C15:W25 (can't be changed)
A 0 indicates that there will be no light on that location, a value
of 16 means bright light.
Changes after version 1.0:
-
block A31:D33 (can be changed)
This holds information (x, y1 and y2) of the two windows perpendicular
to x-reference and two blocking stones (x and y1) (in horizontal plain)
(between brackets some examples):
-
entrance (C-D)
-
back wall (I-J)
-
blocking stone 1 (G1)
-
blocking stone 2 (H2)
-
block A27:D29 (can be changed)
This holds information (x, z1 and z2) of the two windows perpendicular
to x-reference and two blocking stones (x and z1) (in vertical plain) (between
brackets some examples):
-
entrance (C'-D')
-
back wall (U-U')
-
blocking stone A (S')
-
blocking stone B (T')
Changes after version 1.1:
-
cell A35 (can be changed)
The altitude of the horizon in degrees.
Changes after version 1.2:
-
The information on azimuth/altitude changes has been updated
Changes after version 1.3:
-
cell A12 (can be changed)
If this is 0, the provided dimensions are taken with inaccuracy zero.
If 1, then the inaccuracies of all the varaibles are taken within the model
(a Monte Carlo analyses can thus be done).
Changes after version 1.5:
-
Some tables are updated (converting time/date into azimuth and altitude).
-
The azimuth of the ref. grid has been updated and the altitude of the horizon.
This is due to new information gotten by C.
Tait on Dec. 22, 1996.
Changes after version 1.6:
-
The sun diameter is now incorporate automatically. If a cell is black the
sun does not shine there, if it is white it shines in the cell of block
C15:W25.
Cahnges after version 1.7
-
a pictures is now incorporate of the light patch on the back wall
-
the altitude of the horizon has been made more realistic (it was very stylistic)
-
the azimuth of reference grid has been update with info from Dec. 21st
1997 and Jan. 12th 1998.
