Conclusions
Here is an overview of the conclusions I have up to now:
-
a sack with peas is very handy for positioning your camera.
-
a laser is very handy for determining a light beam path.
-
it is very difficult to know for certain the position of celestial objects
in the past. It is also difficult to determine which computer
program predicts the best position of celestial bodies.
-
the diffused light povides already a broad picture of the path of the sun
beam during a specific moment. Remember that the diffused light does not
depend on horizon altitude or far away obstructions.
-
make pictures from within the building towards the outside (remeber to
compensate for the backlight). Together with an accurate map (like
1:25000), one can determine the azimuth and altitude of directions quiet
accurate.
-
if using the compass as an azimuth determining device use at least three
calibration measurements (magn-true north4) or use azim.
Also look at this page.
-
the blocking stone at Meas Howe,
should be investegated in more detail (what is the height, what would be
height of the gap if the passage blocking stone was into place).
-
no more conclusions yet;-)
